15: Foiled

The device does not behave as I expected. To some extent this is back to the drawing board for me. Each attempt I make to calibrate the device (a procedure unnecessary for billiard balls whose safety is not among my main concerns) subsequent measurements always entail further calibration. My thinking is that in calibrating the device, in other words targeting a specific point in the past, the subsequent measurements are changed by the subtle influence this has on the past.
I scan the past, target the device, rescan the past and always need to re-target the device to take account of its presence in the past.
I am working on a solution to this which again involves spreading computations across the multiverse. If I am correct in my refinements of Godel's work, there are problems which are intractable in this universe, but are trivially simple in others. I had thought that the secondary Josepshon coils would render this unnecessary, but I am having to start from scratch.
This new "Earman Unit" will take account of modifications to the partial Cauchy surface before they occur.
